Pandora.com. Go look it up. It plays only the music you like. :) Kai just discovered Lordi and was amazed I found them in 2006 before they won the Eurovision Song Contest with Hard Rock Hallelujah. Watch the videos and think of this band with pyros like KISS used at the prune faced Eurovision Song Contest that spawned Abba... I LOVE it! He has wings on hydraulics that open up just before the pyros.

Oh, you want to know about the student thing? Ahhh.... Ever watched BONES or NCIS? Well that's what I am going to go into - an Adminitration of Justice course, doing Criminal Lab Investigation... http://cbsncis.wetpaint.com/page/Photos+of+%22Abby%22 This is Abby, Goth Queen of the lab. :) I can do that. I can also specialize in any of various fields like blood work, ballistics, you name it. I don't deal with the grooey stuff that might make me heave, as in Bones which is about an anthropologist in the Jefferson teamed with a Cop investigating murders through the bones. She is a writer, though, ;p Oh, and my Dip Education will count towards the credits I need for it. Oh and I can even get called to give Expert witness in courts. How cool is all this??

Grossmont College here is setting me up with all the places to go to get financial aid to be independant and to get a grant and to get medical aid too as well as get registered Disabled for the said grants. And it is a growing field of employment with over 300 plus places needed per year till 2016 at least.
I went to their Adult Re-entry program, and from there to their Group analysis of test results on personaluity linked to career. Amazingly teaching did NOT come up! Today was a One on One with the Guidance expert and she has taken me under her wing to see I get all that is needed to help me. :) I am now, thanks to her, in their system as Applying for tuition. Now I get to see a Course counsellor and choose what I need to do. They will also facilitate the grants and getting my UK teaching Dip Ed turned to American to know how many Credits it wipes off what I need to do.

So I am really excited now and on the verge of finally getting my life and a career worked out for me here, and for the first time ever. Teaching was something my Dad demanded I do - no college unless I took teaching or Art so I took art then ended up in teaching. OK I am good at it, but I want to work with folk over 3 ft tall and not to face the problems of keeping discipline and not teaching! This Criminal Lab Work uses all my attention to detail and love of research and more. :)

Hmm. Well I applied online for a job with Sony doing Tech writing for the game Everquest 2 which I also happen to play. I heard nothing more for a couple weeks till Friday night when I got a mail from their Recruitment Dept asking if I would be interested in a QA Game tester job with them for EQ2.
Well... Yeah!
SO I replied and gave answers to stuff they put in they need thew applicants to do/be. They want you to have at least 1 level 70 toon or 2 level 60 ones so I said I have a L 68, nearly 69 Assassin - a class that cannot solo, and a L 53 Swashbuckler. I think that will be OK cos it equates to about 2 L 60s. :)

We'll see, It''s sown where Kai lives and Kitkat moved so I am all my fingers crossed it comes through! I would be Beta testing new content on a Beta Server and the Test Server for the game I enjoy playing. :) And getting paid to do it...

What else? Well this comes as I was about to stiff my Boss for a $2 an hour raise as I am being expected to do a lot more. A lovely lady called Carolyn thinks she can get the Salesperson to USE a PC and get her own email and enter her own data! I said good luck. She said but it's her job to write proposals.
Yup she writes em, LONG hand and gives em to me to do and I can't see her wanting to do it any other way. I warned her some there are resistant to using a PC and those who aren't know bugger all but think they know a lot! Hah! She says in this day and age is beyond normal a Head of sales doesn't do her own email - I again said Good Luck! She doesn't wanna do it, she told me so.
Good job Carolyn knows me now and knows I haven't tried to put them off doing it. BUT I ask you, how reliable is it to teach someone like a monkey to do a sensitive and important data entry job when they know NOTHING about using a PC? You can teach em like a monkey to enter the data, but if they don't understand how they can destroy data, then it's a risk too many in my opinion.

I am gonna have to spend up to 3-4 hours a month entering the Tech Super's data to stop her accessing the data files and corrupting them on the same basis! Gee we can barely get her to do some forms correctly never mind accessing the data I am supposed to be responsible for! I told Carlyn flat that I wouldn't be responsible IF I was sharing those files/data with anyone else. Sp instead of me doing the Tech Super's filing, she can do it since she is gaining an extra 2-4 hours free a month now! Bah!

I SO hope the Sony job comes through!

Please see my LJ for the whole 9 yards - I have a valuable pristine collector's edition, numbered, of the photo journal Live Dreams of Led Zeppelin. It is not available on ebay and private book sellers are getting $335.00 for it, but I dunno if it is a Numbered Edition they are selling.

With the current reunion concert in Wembly, UK just before Xmas, this should be a very hot item to sell - but I got NO idea how to sell it!
